Overview
Baigneurs was an exhibition showing Elina Brotherus’s three-screen silent video of nude bathers in Finnish summer landscapes. Each video was projected on large screens outside the Wapping Hydraulic Station: one on the accumulator tower, one on the electricity substation, and one above a water tank on the roof. The nude figures stood out against the cool London spring. Inside the Boiler House, photos of bathers in outdoor and indoor settings were also displayed.
