Overview
“Landing on Earth” (2012) by Kris Ruhs was a large-scale installation commissioned by Jules Wright and presented at The Wapping Project in London. The exhibition filled the vast industrial boiler room with immersive sculptural elements made from aluminium, raku ceramics and shredded rubber. Visitors moved through the space encountering an aluminium curtain, a suspended cluster of ceramic forms, and a dense rubber labyrinth, creating a physical and atmospheric experience that responded to the dramatic architecture of the former power station.
