Having recorded over 30 albums and numerous EPs throughout his career, he has gained extensive experience working with a diverse range of music genres, including classical, contemporary jazz, pop, rock, Hip Hop, Drum and Bass, folk, and world music styles. His expertise extends thorough knowledge of the recording process microphones mixing consoles and studio outboard gear. He first began recording on multitrack tape back in the mid-1990s, then using the Atari ST and Notator. He then moved to Pro Tools 3, and later to Logic and now Logic 12 and Nuendo 14. He learned his craft on what are now considered vintage mixing consoles from Soundcraft, Harrison, Midas, DDA and Amex, and later moved to digital consoles.
He was the director of a recording studio complex, Big Box Productions, who had 12 studios in Elephant and Castle in south London. It provided a home for many producers, and recording artists. Here is a list of some of the artists, Kae Tempest, Lost Witness (Ministry of Sound), Nigel Hoyle (Gay Dad, Cunning folk, Nigel of Bermondsey) Patric Carpenter (DJ Food, Cinematic Orchestra, Ninja Tunes), Nick MaCabe (The Verve, Black Submarine), Si Jones (Coldplay, Black Submarine), Jim Eliot (Ellie Goulding, Kylie Minogue, Will Young), Tam Cooper (Precision Cuts), Rare Grove Records and Mint Source Records.
